Located in Boone, North Carolina, Dogwood Outpost is a fictitious brick-and-mortar store that offers apparel and accessories inspired by local parks and lands. The visual identity feels welcoming and vibrant, radiates positivity, and encourages a love for the natural world.

As the state flower of North Carolina, Flowering Dogwood is a beautiful and beloved symbol of the area. The name reflects the store’s strong connection to outdoor spaces and to its Appalachian roots.

Inspired by woodcut type, the logo reflects a timeless connection to craftsmanship and the outdoors.

While the colors are vibrant, welcoming and inspired by local flora and fauna, the typography references local signage and woodcut typefaces.
